About Héctor Ferreira and Hughes & Hughes

HECTOR FERREIRA is a member of the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Uruguayan Bar Association. He received an LL.M. from the University of California (Davis, CA, USA) (2008). He received his JD from the Catholic University of Uruguay, and has been a member of Hughes & Hughes since 1999. He was also a Foreign Associate with the San Francisco law firm, Schinner Law Group, during 2008 and 2009. Mr. Ferreira is an Associate Professor of Commercial Law at the Catholic University of Uruguay and University of Uruguay and is author and co-author of several articles and chapters such as the Uruguayan Chapters of “Company Formation” and “Mergers & Acquisitions: A Practical Global Guide”, Globe Business Publishing Ltd. London, UK. Mr. Ferreira has extensive experience assisting international and national clients in corporate matters, M&A transactions and corporate dispute. He focuses his practice on corporate law, M&A, corporate reorganization and commercial dispute counseling. He speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.
