About Javier Canosa

Javier Canosa read law at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He graduated in 1999. In 2000 he took a Masters course (LL.M.) at the Amsterdam Law School of the Universiteit van Amsterdam, where he had the opportunity to study the rules and regulations on US and EU competition laws, the laws of the World Trade Organization, EU international trade law, investment and monetary policies in international trade law and public and private law practice in international trade law.

After working in Europe, Javier worked at the banking department of the largest law firm in Argentina, and afterwards he worked for a medium-sized firm before organizing together with Hernán Canosa, Canosa Abogados.

Javier has attended, both as a speaker and participant, to numerous conferences and congresses, both in Argentina and overseas.

Javier was granted numerous prices, such as the “Jack Batievsky” scholarship of the International Bar Association for the paper “How should lawyers protect and encourage investments in challenging environments”. Javier is a member of the International Bar Association.

Javier teaches International Business Law at the Universidad de Buenos Aires since 2003 and he has Publisher numerous articles in local and foreign publications.
Javier speaks fluently Spanish and English and he has a working knowledge of Portuguese, German, Italian and French.
